Yes, you read that right. There are several duties around here that need my attention. I also have a few personal projects that I would like to work on. The most important reason, though, is there is an out of control toddler that really needs her mommy right now, so I’m going to take some time to focus on her. (And the rest of the family, of course.) I will still keep up my Pinterest boards and you can still reach me by email if you need to. Also, I will keep the site up for now so you can still look at the posts. Thank you to all my loyal readers who gave me a chance and I pray God’s blessings for you and your families!
Picture courtesy of USA Today.com I have never had a problem deciding who I want to vote for in a presidential election. I’m a Republican. I’m not saying I’m better than anyone, it’s just the party I tend to identify with. I usually have the utmost confidence in the GOP candidates or can at least find a few things I can get on board with. But not this year. This is honestly the first time I’ve been truly scared for our country since the 9/11 attacks. I don’t like either candidate. I don’t believe a word either one says. I don’t think either one really understands what the middle class and below has truly gone through the last four years. So who do we, the Undecideds, turn to? What do we do when Tweedledum and Tweedledummer aren’t the right guy? I would love to hear what other Undecideds think about the election and how they are trying to come to a decision. As for me, I plan to spend some time in prayer about it and pray that whoever wins is truly the right person for the job. If you’re an Undecided, too, then please leave a comment below.
Don’t forget every week there’s a free music download from KLove. It’s a really great way to build up your Christian music playlist for free! This week’s song is Should’ve Been Me by Citizen Way. Be sure to get it before it disappears! Have a safe and happy 4th of July! Remember how truly blessed we are and take a few moments today to pray for our country, our military, and our leaders. Pray that they attain and maintain a heart for God, always! Psalm 33:12

I have a friend that was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. She recently finished her last round of chemotherapy, and I wanted to do something for her. After finishing some crafts I had pinned on Pinterest, (thanks, Mom, for your help!), I was feeling a little more confident and decided to try something I had seen being pinned a lot. I really liked the painted vases and thought here was a good opportunity to give it a try. I used pink paint on the inside. I took a piece of elastic and sewed the ends together. Then I took some pink ribbon and hand sewed that onto the elastic piece. The flowers are just silk flowers, because you can’t put water in a painted vase, and I wanted something that wouldn’t die. I whipped up a quick quiche and some chopped fruit and voila! You have a simple gift that can really brighten someone’s day! What kind of gifts do you like giving? Galatians 5:13
To all Fathers, I hope you had a great Father’s Day! We appreciate all you Dads who are spritual leaders of your families, who cherish and take care of them and in every way provide an example of what a real men do for their families. Thank You!
If you’ve spent any amount of time reading this blog, then you know what an advocate of prayer that I am. But sometimes we tend to let our prayer life slip a little. For me, it starts with being tired. I whisper a quick “bless everyone” type of prayer and sail off to sleep. Then I just get busy. Chasing after a toddler all day, trying to keep the house clean and get dinner ready, keeping my teenager on track and on schedule, and still be there for my husband can all get a little overwhelming at times. There’s also no shortage of prayer requests, either. I have a board on Pinterest dedicated to some of the biggest news stories that need praying over. The people all around us in our lives need prayer, too! It can be difficult to keep track of it all. Well, here’s a little help for us all. I have created two Prayer Lists that you can print off and fill in with all the prayer requests in our lives. One is for general requests and the other is for the unsaved friends and family members in our lives. Hopefully this will help us keep our prayer life up and the prayer requests straight!
